Alexis Jaeger
I am a licensed clinical psychotherapist in California with two decades of experience working in a variety of settings including community mental health and private practice. I have expertise treating adults and couples struggling with mood and anxiety disorders, trauma, relationship difficulties and the emotional struggles associated with life transitions. I use a psychoanalytic, relational approach to treatment.
I earned my Master Degree from the University of Chicago and my PhD in social work and psychoanalytic psychotherapy from the Institute for Clinical Social Work, where my research focused on maternal identity formation and the transition to parenthood. I also have post-graduate training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy and psychodynamic psychotherapy.
