I am a licensed clinical psychotherapist in California with over fifteen years of experience working in a variety of settings including community mental health and private practice. I have expertise treating adults, adolescents, and couples struggling with mood and anxiety disorders, trauma, relationship difficulties and the emotional struggles associated with life transitions. I use a psychoanalytic, relational approach to treatment integrated with mindfulness.
I earned my Master Degree from the University of Chicago and have post-graduate training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy and psychodynamic psychotherapy. I am currently a PhD Candidate at the Institute for Clinical Social Work where my research focuses on post-natal identity formation and attachment patterns. I have a particular interest in treating women and families in the transition to parenthood--during pregnancy, early postpartum, and beyond.
